Hyundai i10 is doing great after its debut in India, now Hyundai India is coming up with another small car called “Hyundai i20″. Hyundai i10 targets A segment customer, all new Hyundai i20 will target B or B+ segment customers. Hyundai i20 has been developer under codename “PB” which will replace current Hyundai Getz globally but not in india. Hyundai i20 will positioned above Hyundai Getz.

Hyundai i20 had been designed especially to meet the european cunsumers. Since Hyundai India is shifting its small car plant from Korea to India, Hyundai India will offer all new Hyundai i20 as a bonus to the Indian Customers. Hyundai India already introduced Hyundai Santro which is known as Hyundai Atos globally followed by i10 and Getz. All new Hyundai i20 will line up the series soon. 30% of the Hyundai production will be done from Chennai plant only by 2009.

Hyundai i20 is a hatchback which is inspired by premium hatchback Hyundai i30 which is launched in korea and europe and doing great. Hyundai i20 front is designed with a low slung grille, good large headlamps and cool sporty round fog lamps. The steep raked wind screen which flows smoothly and then it merges with a novel tail section. Hyundai i20 have a upright tailgate which means more boot space for luggage too. Interiors are really of the top notch with really high quality plastics used in it. Hyundai i20 is very much flexible seating very much similar to Hyundai i10. Hyundai i20, a hatchback segment car is available in both petrol and diesel engine option. Hyundai i20 is available in 3 engine option i.e. 1.4 L, 1396cc Gamma AT Petrol, 1.2 L 1196cc Kappa PL Petrol & 1.4 CRDI Diesel Engine.

Hyundai i20, with the engine option 1.4 L, 1396cc Gamma AT is a petrol variant with 4 Speed Automatic Transmission Gearbox that are very fuel efficient and gives tremendous performance. Hyundai i20 1.4 L engine with is high power delivers a mileage of 11.4 kmpl in the city roads and 15.1 kmpl on the highways.

Hyundai i20, with 1.2 L, 1196cc Kappa PL is also a petrol variant with 5 Speed Manual Transmission Gearbox that offers a very good mileage with better performance. The Mileage that this engine gives is 15 kmpl in the city road and 17 kmpl on the highways.

Hyundai i20, with 1.4 L CRDI Diesel engine is undoubtedly a diesel variant with 6 Speed Manual Transmission Gearbox with an excellent fuel efficiency system. The car gives a mileage of 18kmpl in the city and 23 kmpl on the highways.
Power
As already said, Hyundai i20 is available in three engine option i.e. a 1.4L, Gamma AT petrol, 1.2L Kappa PL petrol and 1.4L, CRDI diesel engine.

Hyundai i20 which is powered by the 1.4L, 1396cc Gamma AT petrol is a very fuel efficient car with DOHC and MPFI fuel system. This In Line type petrol engine equipped with four speed automatic transmission gearbox, produces a maximum power of 100 PS at 5500rpm and a Maximum Torque of13.9kgm at 4200rpm.

Hyundai i20 powered by the 1.2L, 1196cc Kappa PL Petrol five Speed manual transmission gearbox also performs with stimulating effect and gives better performance. This 1.2L, In Line petrol engine delivers a maximum power of 80 PS at 5200rpm and a maximum torque of 11.4kgm at 4000rpm.

Hyundai i20, with 1.4L CRDI diesel engine with new six speed manual transmission gearbox performs excellently and produces a maximum power of 90PS at 4000 rpm and a maximum torque of 22.4kgm at 1750~2750 rpm.

Hyundai i20 is available in seven exciting colors – Sparkle Blue, Silky Beige, Black Diamond, Crystal White, Sleek Silver, Berry Red, and Dark Grey.
