Bajaj New Pulsar 180cc DTSi:

Bajaj Pulsar 180cc DTS-I has beauty and power borrowed from Pulsar 200 and Pulsar 220. So one can assume easily that how perfect this bike would be. The new Pulsar has more flesh in fuel tank shrouds that is exactly found in Pulsar 200. In the earlier version of Pulsar, tank shrouds were smaller than this. It is available in the same body colours like Pulsar 150 and older 180cc. It comes in cocktail wine red, plasma blue, midnight black and misty grey silver. Aggressive logos are there at fuel tank, rear side panels and engine. The engine possesses DTS-I sticker. The key shaped dashboard has white background at dial. Digital tripmeter, tachometer, fuel gauge and speedometer are incorporated in the console. Split-seat is the new thing in new Pulsar which comes in notice at first view.
The same razor shape tail portion is retained in the Bajaj New Pulsar 180 DTS-I. Tank flap is aerodynmic and the tank possesses anti scratch tank pad. The bike is having self start option and toe-only shifter which supports sports bike look.

Engine:
This sporty bike powered by a strong and high performing powertrain. It sports 4 stroke, DTS-I , air cooled engine. Maximum power and torque is increased in the 178.60cc bike. The DTS-I engine develops maximum power of 17.05PS at 8500 rpm and churns maximum torque of 14.22 NM at 6000 rpm. The Digital Twin Spark ignition technology provide the engine to perform in much better way whether it is speed, acceleration or power. Contrary to the general one spark plug at the end of the combustion chamber, this bike comes with Bajaj patented DTS-I tech which have two spark plugs at both end of the combustion chamber.

This technology does faster and better combustion. For handling the spark delivery, a digital CDI chip is there. That gives optimum ignition time for load conditions. In addition to this, a Throttle Response Ignition System III (TRICS III) controls the ignition by operating the throttle. The new Pulsar 150 also breathes through a CV carburettor but relies on a straightforward electronic ignition system to supply the sparks. The pickup is awesome.

Fuel Efficiency:
One should not expect more mileage from a high displacement and heavy bike. So around 50 kmpl mileage is possible in good riding condition. Bajaj Pulsar 180cc DTSi fuel tank is the widest that can keep 15 liters of petrol and two litres of usable reserve. That means less petrol pump visits both in city and on highways. The DTS-i technology helps in faster and better fuel combustion which makes it the fuel efficient bike in 180cc segment.

Brakes:
Bajaj New Pulsar 180cc DTSi sports front disc brakes. The diameter of the brakes is 260mm. The front brakes are highly sensitive that halt the bike at a slight pressure. According to users, applying the front disc brakes is a great risk in this particular machine. On the other hand, rear brakes are conventional drum brakes of 130mm.

Wheels and Tyres:
The tyres are fatter in the new Pulsar 180cc. Rear tyre’s specification are 120/80×17 while front tyre’s size is 90/90-17. Both the tyres are tubeless. The engineers of the company has done a smart work by balancing the weight of the bike with heavy tyres without compromising with mileage. The machine houses six spoke alloy 17” wheels.

Wheel Base and Controlling:
